As a small experiment for my own amusement, I took a pic with my phone as well as my camera and decided to post it here as well. Same time, same light, not exactly same angle, but similar enough. If not for telephoto, I can't see much reason to carry with 3-4 kg of equipment, when the phone can do pretty much the same. Quality is not the same, but it's not expected to be, point is that it's close enough. Below are 100% crops, scaled to match.
